Lately I have been finding that I have been lacking a bit of direction to go with for the plot, I would love to throw ideas out there but nothing has really been OKed as of yet.
One thing to make clear when working with the plot
we must critique each-others work, we have to - there is no and if or buts about it. To make this as good as we can, we will point out the pros and cons to an idea - if we don't then we wont have much of a standard.
We need to maintain a certain standard - if you think an Idea is below this standard, then instead of calling it bad we will work with the idea as much as possible to see if we can make it work somehow. Some ideas will be thrown away but only if it just doesn't fit.
In plot design we value a few different things
-the pathways that the idea can bring towards the characters
-how relevant it is to the plot
- The goal, would the idea make sense to the characters goal at the time?
- stay true to the character, would the character do something like that?
The plot design team will work to open as many pathways as we can to the character without straying them too far from there objective
say the main character wanted to get an item and he really needed this but then was distracted by a butterfly or something, that wouldn't make too much sense because the character would be preoccupied with the task at hand. However if he was forced to do something else then that would make sense - we want a little bit of action here and there so that its not boring, however the character design team should know what they wanted the characters to be and if anything contradicts them someone can point it out.
to be honest no ideas are going to be thrown away as of yet, since we are just building the foundation of a story but we have to keep going with it as well.
I'm not trying to be bossy but at the same time, we need something to be set out for us and some general guidelines when looking at other ideas, plus
its not bad policy to have all this posted.
As for all the different teams I brought up here, they may not even exist but through time we will see who puts the most effort towards each category and then we can place them into the proper spots.

My own personal announcement DATE: Thursday, June 25th, 2015 [12:30AM]
--------------------------------
We can't stop working towards a goal. I'm sure everybody here wants this story to be a reality as much as I want it to be.
I really do believe that we can make something great here, but we need people who are willing to make this a reality - together we can do so much more work and it doesn't just stop here. the people here are capable of working together as a team.
we are a team and that's how we should think about this, nobody goes off and does ALL the work and nobody does nothing.
people who have been posting are a part of this team and are encouraged to keep this up.
Even if your ideas are - in your head - mediocre, they open up doors for us. Some ideas are just harder to think of than others, some people don't know what to do or say yet and that's fine because right here, right now, is one of the hardest points in the entire creation process.
None of us can do this part alone. Even if we try, it would take so long that it wouldn't even matter.
Right now we have to create a general idea of what we want the story to be, which includes but is not limited to:
-Direction of the plot (we don't need to think of all the twists and turns, only have a general idea of when its possible for something to happen in the story)
-character development
-environment development - what we want this world to look like
-city and political structure
-religious philosophies and ego's
and the problem is, that I'm sure there is more but just think about it, once we have all of that, there isn't much that we cant do. I'm sure we will all be proud of the story once its finished.
by the end of it all we could have a story that surpasses what we could have thought it would be.
Keep going, we can do this.
